Enhanced Maritime Cooperation for a Common Vision in the MENA Region
The Tunisian Maritime Cluster played a leading role in the creation of the Maghreb Maritime Cluster, actively supporting the development and structuring of maritime clusters in the region. As a strategic actor, it provided its expertise to facilitate the emergence of new maritime clustering initiatives within the MENA region.
Through its strategic support, the Tunisian Maritime Cluster played a key role in the process of creating the Libyan Maritime Cluster, helping it take crucial steps towards its official constitution. The Tunisian Maritime Cluster also continues to provide strategic and concrete support to foster the emergence of new maritime clusters in the MENA region, with particular attention to initiatives in Algeria and Oman.
By positioning itself as a key partner in the creation of these new clusters, the Tunisian Maritime Cluster is laying the foundations for a strong and integrated regional network that will facilitate cooperation between Maghreb states and beyond. This network will enable ambitious joint projects to be set up to address the challenges of marine biodiversity, the fight against climate change and the sustainable growth of the blue economy throughout the region.
Launch of a professional immersion program for young people in the blue economy sector
The Tunisian Maritime Cluster has just launched an immersive program aimed at introducing young people to the blue economy sector, by establishing a concrete link between theory and practice, and by strengthening the bridges between academia and companies in the sector. This program, developed in partnership with Marine Blue Accelerator, offers young students valuable field experience to discover the challenges and opportunities of the blue economy.
Through this immersion program, the Tunisian Maritime Cluster intends not only to prepare a new generation of qualified talents to meet the growing needs of the sector, but also to encourage an innovative and sustainable vision of the blue economy. By bringing young people closer to businesses, this initiative contributes to building a dynamic and resilient ecosystem, capable of supporting the transition to a competitive and environmentally friendly blue economy.
