Provide support to the establishment and empowerment of maritime clusters as relevant actors for innovation.
Enhance cooperation between Northern and Southern clusters across the Mediterranean.

EXPECTED RESULTS

Prepare the ground for new maritime clusters to be established and enhance cooperation between northern and southern Mediterranean maritime clusters through detection of specific needs and barriers.
Organize tailored capacity building processes directed to emerging clusters and to the blue economy ecosystem at local level, set up of structured regional networking processes.
Engage relevant regional, sub-regional public bodies and formulate recommendations through engagement plan design and implementation.
Improve the involvement of maritime clusters in the policy-making process.
Promote the engagement of women and young people in the local ecosystem of blue economy and cluster ecosystemic dynamics.

CLUSTER TECNOLOGICO NAZIONALE BLUE ITALIAN GROWTH (BIG-TC), ITALY

Technology Cluster Blue Italian Growth (BIG-TC) is an association recognized by the MUR - Ministry of Universities and Research - which aims to support the business community, promote opportunities for SMEs operating in the blue economy, encourage the connection between research and industry and much more. Moreover, thanks to a long process of internationalization consolidated over the years, BIG-TC encourages the creation of new partnerships at national and international levels.

Federazione del Mare (FdM) – was funded in 1994 and represents the Italian maritime industry closely interacting with Competent Authorities and key stakeholders at national and EU levels. It brings together the entire part of the national industrial reality and it is composed of Associations that represent the interest and the expression of the maritime entrepreneurial ecosystem.
